Volunteers make a significant difference in the quality of life of those they serve and enrich their own lives through service to others. We greatly appreciate the strong volunteer support we have at Page Robbins. Volunteers are vital to our ability of providing exceptional care for adults with memory loss or who may be frail. Our participants love seeing new faces and meeting new friends and our staff welcomes the help in the center’s activities.
Volunteering can be a wonderful experience for you too. You will have the chance to share your skills, talents, and friendship as well as to meet new people and experience new things. Our commitment to excellence is supported by the wonderful volunteers we have.
How You Can Help
With Our Participants
As a Volunteer, you may want to interact directly with our staff and participants. There are opportunities for you to assist our care assistants in activities with our participants or to work one on one with a participant. Helping with crafts, music, or art classes, polishing fingernails, reading to participants, working puzzles, playing games, and serving snacks are some opportunities for volunteer.
Events and Administrative Assistance
There are also administrative activities in which we can use volunteer assistance in our front office. Some examples are: making copies, collating materials, entering data in the computer and receptionist duties. We also have fund-raising events throughout the year in which we can always use the help and enthusiasm of volunteers.
